NY Grand S274 基于由机器人辅助的深度多重采样，真实还原了9英尺 Steinway & Sons（纽约）D-274 音乐会三角钢琴的音色。这是一款被誉为音乐会三角钢琴巅峰之作的宏伟乐器，也是据其传奇制造商称“全球最伟大钢琴家首选”的钢琴型号。

在本次录音中，我们为近距离拾音使用了 DPA 心形指向麦克风，为中距离录音采用 A-B 技术的 DPA 全指向麦克风，录音地点是意大利博洛尼亚的传奇录音室 Fonoprint Studios，这座录音室坐落于一座 15 世纪修道院的古老建筑之中。

NY Grand S274 is based on robot-assisted deep multisampling of a 9′ Steinway & Sons New York D-274 concert grand piano, a majestic musical instrument known to be the pinnacle of concert grands and the overwhelming choice of the world’s greatest pianists, according to its legendary manufacturer.

The Steinway & Sons New York D-274 concert grand piano is the largest and most popular model in the Steinway line. Introduced in 1884, it’s been used by some of the world’s greatest pianists including Vladimir Horowitz, Artur Rubinstein and Alicia de Larrocha.

Known for its rich, powerful sound and its ability to project well in large concert halls, the D-274 is also prized for its responsive action, allowing pianists to achieve a wide range of dynamics and articulation. If you’ve always wanted to try one, the NY Grand S274 is your chance.

On this concert grand we used DPA cardioid microphones for the close miking and DPA Omni microphones for medium-distanced with A-B miking technique to record this spectacular piano at the legendary Fonoprint Studios in Bologna, Italy, within the walls of a 15th century convent.

In addition to our many IK sample sessions over the years, Fonoprint has hosted the very best Italian and international artists from Ennio Morricone to Luciano Pavarotti to Andrea Bocelli.

Pianoverse begins as a series of 8 remarkable instruments paired with unique spaces and loaded with presets. As we seek and gain access to other exceptional pianos, we’ll expand the series further.
