Future MB abandons the rigid logic of traditional crossovers. Instead of forcing you to slice up the entire spectrum just to process a specific range, it gives you the freedom to instantiate up to six independent dynamic bands exactly where the audio demands it.

Treat the bands as isolated processing zones to address local issues without touching the rest of your signal, or let them magnetically snap together to form a classic, continuous crossover network whenever you need a traditional workflow. With variable slopes ranging from a smooth, musical 6 dB/oct to a razor-sharp 48 dB/oct, you decide exactly how your bands blend or separate from the rest of the mix.

Pristine Phase Response

Future MB offers three phase modes: Minimum Phase, Linear Phase and Liquid Phase.

Linear Phase guarantees pure sound with zero phase distortion, while Minimum Phase provides the lowest possible latency with classic phase characteristics. Going a step further, the Liquid Phase mode eliminates the dilemma of choosing between latency and phase artifacts. By dynamically applying phase shifts only when gain actually changes, Liquid Phase delivers a pure, zero-latency signal with absolutely no pre-ringing. It means you get both the transparency of Linear Phase and the immediacy of Minimum Phase, ensuring your transients stay sharp and your mix stays clean.

Future MB places a complete dynamic processing suite inside every frequency band. It moves far beyond simple peak reduction by integrating three independent, switchable processing stages: Gate, Upward/Spike, and Compressor/Ducking. This architecture gives you total freedom to reshape the envelope of your sound from the ground up.

You can tighten tails with Gate, glue peaks with Compressor, and – crucially – breathe life into low-level detail with Upward. Featuring a precision dual-threshold design, Upward allows you to target exact dynamic ranges, letting you lift ambience without raising the noise floor or exaggerating transients. From transparent leveling to aggressive sound design, simply activate the stages you need and build exactly the dynamic behavior the track demands.

Built on a sophisticated Adaptive Envelope Algorithm designed to accommodate any intent. At slow Attack/Release settings, it delivers the rich, non-linear character of a boutique analog unit. Push it to the limit with lightning-fast settings for “brick-wall” limiting, and it remains surprisingly transparent – controlling peaks without compromising signal integrity. Whether you need subtle leveling or aggressive crushing, it adapts naturally to your workflow.

Flip Compressor into Ducking Mode to unlock intentionally extreme compression. This mode allows you to carve out a modern, pumping, over-compressed sound instantly. It’s the perfect tool for designing heavy, breathing grooves.

Upward compression has long been underestimated as a powerful mixing tool. Future MB not only gives you its full potential, but also solves the flaw of traditional designs: boosts everything, including the noise floor. With our proprietary Dual-Threshold design, you can boost quiet musical details (between Threshold 1 and 2) while keeping the noise floor (below Threshold 2) completely untouched. Bring out the breath in a vocal or the ghost notes in a snare – richer, louder, and perfectly clean.

Need more punch? Switch Upward to Spike Mode (Upward Expansion). Instead of making quiet sounds louder, it makes loud sounds even louder. Use it to add explosive attack to drums or maximum impact to vocals. Pro Tip: Use Spike Mode along with Compressor to boost the initial transient and then immediately clamp down on the tail – a “push-pull” technique that creates a density and punch impossible with standard Compression.

Every band features a dedicated Gate/Expander powered by a unique Hilbert Envelope Detector. This advanced algorithm ensures ultra-smooth open and close behavior, effectively eliminating the unmusical “chattering” artifacts common in standard gates. Coupled with independent sidechain controls, it delivers the cleanest, most organic silence possible – keeping your mix tight and your transients intact.

Time and Frequency, Unified

Future MB dissolves the boundary between dynamics and tone. By activating Spectral Mode, you unlock a fluid continuum where Time-Domain and Frequency-Domain processing coexist. Instead of forcing you to choose between standard compression and spectral shaping, Future MB lets you glide effortlessly between them with a single control.

In the Compressor stage, spectral processing detects and tames sharp, poking resonances without crushing the life out of the entire band. In the Upward stage, spectral processing seeks out and lifts spectral dips, filling in the sonic “holes” to reveal hidden harmonic richness. Whether you need precise resonance suppression or broadband glue, simply drag the SPEC slider to find the perfect balance – delivering a fuller, smoother sound that remains musically expressive and never harsh.
