Micron FRETS brings clean, expressive electric guitars into the Micron XY Playable engine. Every note is sampled diatonically across every string, giving you authentic responsiveness and depth. Choose which string fret group to perform on, just like a guitarist – for unique tonal variations and realism or let the engine choose the best position for your phrases.

From soft finger-picked notes to slanted, scratchy plectrum attacks – each articulation is carefully captured to convey warmth, intimacy, and emotion. Legato and round robin options give life and human feel to your playing, whether you’re scoring a scene or composing worshipful ambient music.

Multi-sampled Electric Guitars

MICRON FRETS includes samples of several electric guitar, each with distinct articulations and techniques which suit best the sound. You will find Solid Bodies played with the pick, Hollow Bodies played with fingers, several Pick Ups options.*

The guitars have been sampled with the pick up position sound, amplifier sound and effects (Compressor or Eq) baked in. Each guitar will have a specific technique (Fingers, Pick, Slanted Pick, Muted pick), and several velocity layers, from soft ghost notes to sustains (except for the short staccato sound source). All guitars will respond to legato when the fret position allows it, and some will include slides or hammer on/pull off samples as special articulations.
