You have three different sections, the Low Frequency Peak, Mid Frequency Dip and the High Frequency Peak. The only confusing thing is that the mid section never boosts, but always attenuates the selected frequency. The other two sections, low and high frequency, always boost the frequencies. But as soon as you start to use the ME 1B in conjunction with the Tube-Tech PE 1C &#8216;Pultec&#8217; Equalizer you&#8217;ll find that these equalizers complement each other perfectly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Classic Channel?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Tube-Tech Classic Channel (the heart of the Complete Collection) combines the CL 1B optical compressor with the PE 1C and the ME 1B, two complementary tube-driven passive equalizers.<\/p>\n<p>The CL 1B is a modern classic for good reason; across genres, it brings warmth through its tube stages, transparent operation on transients through its quick attack, and smooth, musical levelling due to the slow reset characteristics of its gain reduction element. With the equalizers, you can shape the sound of a track, a bus or a whole mix within seconds.
